Steps to address Sexual Orientation at HEIs This clip is from a colloquium hosted at UCT by the HIV, Inclusivity and Change Unit (HAICU) and focuses on concrete steps to address Sexual Orientation at HEIs in areas of policy; curricula development; co-curricula student sensitisation workshops; staff sensitisation workshops and discrimination cases. Sexuality programme officers from 14 institutions attended, with contributions from research staff; teaching staff; management and project officers. HAICU would like to raise awareness about the issues facing HEIs as well as the steps being taken across the system to address them. At the moment, the predominant trend is to deal with HIV and risk alone, though the video shows evidence of shifts.
