UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: FULBRIGHT FOREIGN STUDENT PROGRAM OUTLINE
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is for postgraduate study or doctoral research that will be carried out in the U.S. for the 2018/19 academic year. Applications are invited from South African students who want to pursue a Master's or a PhD degree. The program provides funding for up to two years of study. Applications from students registered for doctoral degrees in South Africa who wish to pursue one year of graduate study in the United States for non-degree purposes are also accepted. Please note that MBA and medical studies are not supported.
Master's and Doctorate Degrees
Application deadline is 17 April 2017.
- Be a South African citizen or permanent resident
- Have a 4 year BTech degree or must have completed a Bachelors (Hons) or an equivalent four-year university
- Must have a Master's degree if applying for a Doctoral degree
- For non-degree studies: Applicants must be registered for a PhD at a university in South Africa
